- Description
- Gilt bronze cast saucer brooch, found in grave 18 during excavations at an Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Butler's Field, Lechlade, Gloucestershire, in 1985. The brooch shows characteristic zoomorphic designs. Saucer brooches often come in pairs and would have been worn at the shoulders to keep a peplos-style dress together.
