Stone Age to Corinium Project Update
Although we were forced to close our doors for over five months due to the Coronavirus outbreak, work has continued on the exciting Stone Age to Corinium project.
Before the lockdown the gallery interpretation was finalised, everything from numbers to maps and backdrops were approved and sent to the printers
Photographic backdrops for the new displays.
Other forms of interpretation include short films, animation sequences for the Hazelton long barrow and Cavalry tombstones and the development of an audio guide. The Hazelton long barrow animation is now complete and gives a wonderful overview of the site that no longer exists. This animation will bring the barrow chamber, which will be on display, to life for visitors.

The Roman Cavalry filming took place with the kind help of the Ermine Street Guard and is in the editing stage, which will complete the AV films for the galleries.
