August 18, 2021 , 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Event Navigation
Before Corinium, the landscape around Cirencester was occupied by humans for thousands of years through the start of the Stone Age to the end of the Bronze Age. People made their tools from flint such as axes and arrowheads, then copper and bronze.
Experimental archaeologist Dr. James Dilley will be at the museum demonstrating some of these iconic prehistoric crafts using authentic materials and techniques in the Hare gallery. You’ll be able to see the amazing artefacts on display while watching how they might have been made! This event is ideal for any young people in key stage 2 about to learn about prehistory in the autumn term.
