Business Open Evening & Drinks Reception

Following extensive renovations to recreate the new Stone Age to Corinium galleries, the Corinium Museum unveils its plans to welcome businesses from Gloucestershire and beyond.

The Museum is holding a drinks reception on Thursday 30th September, from 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm. This will be an opportunity for businesses to visit the museum to explore the inspiring spaces available to hire and to learn about corporate membership and sponsorship opportunities.

Amanda Hart, Museum Director explains, “I had the vision to create an award-winning attraction, a community hub and centre for learning, as well as attracting business to drive the economic development of Cirencester and the Cotswolds. With a renewed optimism that Covid-19 restrictions are lifting, our event rooms are fully equipped and business ready.”

 

Business Venues available for hire at Corinium Museum:

  • New for 2021 is the Winstone Learning Centre, available to hire as a meeting room. Located at the front of the museum, this light and airy space features beautiful Roman mosaics and pottery, creating an inspiring backdrop to your event. Facilities include AV equipment with Smartboard technology, free Wi-Fi and there is a small kitchen and washroom adjacent.
  • The whole museum can be booked, outside opening hours, as a unique space to entertain clients or employees, giving exclusive access to the museum’s beautiful open galleries, garden, and meeting rooms. The jewel in the crown is the Hare Gallery with the iconic Hare Mosaic providing the backdrop to an expansive, light, and atmospheric gallery perfect for receptions, networking events, product launches, and parties.
  • Meeting rooms available include the fully equipped, easily accessible Lecture Theatre which accommodates up to 72 people. Retractable tiered seating enables quick conversion from lecture theatre to the large meeting room. Lecture theatre hire includes free Wi-Fi and the use of the multi-media suite. This versatile space can be used for conferences, lectures, seminars, film screenings, meetings, training, and team-building courses. A cloakroom, washrooms, and a small kitchen are conveniently located adjacent to the lecture theatre.
  • The more informal Activities Room is a great space for internal meetings, training courses, breakout sessions, and project work. A portable projector, screen, and flipchart are available to hire.
  • Introductory or in-depth talks on the museum’s collection for clients and staff are also offered.
