Corinium Museum photography policy
Non-commercial photography
Visitors are permitted to take non-commercial photographs, video and sound recordings for personal use within the Corinium Museum.
We encourage and welcome the sharing of photographs on social media and with friends and family, and the engagement this provides, however, we ask all visitors to show consideration for other visitors and staff by not taking photographs of others without prior permission.
Restrictions apply to those displays which contain archaeological human remains, please see our human remains policy. Restrictions may also apply where items are on loan or have copyright restrictions. These may be, but not always, indicated locally and visitors should be aware that there are copyright restrictions on some works and it is the visitor’s responsibility to ensure no copyright is infringed.
Photography and video using drones, tripods, monopods, flashes and supplementary lighting is strictly forbidden, without prior arrangement with the Collections Team. Selfie sticks are not to be used in the galleries.
Press filming and photography must be agreed in advance and supervised by Corinium museum staff. Any unaccompanied press film crews and photographers should be directed to the Museum Director.
Commercial photography
Commercial photography and filming are strictly forbidden in both the galleries and the museum grounds unless permission has been granted.
