- Glass cinerary urn found at King's Mead, Cirencester, in 1765, in what may have been a mausoleum. This glass vessel contains cremated remains. Cremation was significantly more popular than inhumation during the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, but it tended to be more expensive and was more common at the higher end of society.
