- Description
- A Bronze Age gold hoard unearthed in 2004 at Poulton, near Cirencester. The hoard consists of a mixture of complete and deliberately broken items of jewellery, including rings, bracelets and torc fragments. This is one of the richest gold hoards ever found in this area from this period. Gold is not native to the Cotswolds and so this gold would have travelled a long way, probably from Cornwall or South Wales.
