Splanky, an all-woman saxophone quartet based in Gloucestershire, are excited to perform “The Wind of Change”. This performance will showcase familiar melodies from the last 200 years: from Beethoven to Basie and Gershwin to Ghibli.

Splanky blend easy swinging music with a wide range of contemporary sensibilities and styles. An eloquent and relaxed performance of songs you’ll know and love will make for an entertaining evening.

Lee, Karen, Diane and Carolyn formed Splanky through their shared love of the saxophone. With their varied musical backgrounds encompassing jazz, swing, blues, orchestral, rock, pop and soul, they bring a unique sound to the music they play. They have been performing in various bands together over the last few decades but wanted to bring something different to the stage and so Splanky was born.
