Stories with Santa
Celebrate Christmas with a visit to the Corinium Museum where the family can meet Santa! Santa will share some special festive stories before handing out gifts to the children. Cirencester Young Archaeologists’ Club
Our Taster session is now fully booked. Corinium Museum is starting an archaeology club for 8 to 16-year-olds. Get hands-on with history with activities that cover the Stone Age up to the present day. Taster session on January 17 and launching monthly sessions from February 21. £5 per session. Project Orpheus Partnership Conference
The Project Orpheus Partnership Conference will bring together current and existing research on Orpheus and Orpheus mosaics in Britain. Guest speakers include Professor Richard Miles, Professor Mark Horton, Professor Jenny Mann and Stephen R. Cosh, who will help to celebrate Orpheus through heritage, literature, art and archaeology. A day of re-enactment with the Ermine Street Guard. Watch battle formations in the museum’s Hare Gallery, hear about the soldier’s kit, daily life and weaponry.
